Yoga in Luz-Saint-Sauveur with Samantha

I have set up a small studio here where I want everyone to feel welcome to come and practice. Whether a beginner or a yoga veteran I aim to offer something for all :

Come and take a moment for yourself, your wellbeing, your mind and your body.

Namaste:
"the goodness in me sees and honours the goodness in you."

What is Yoga ?

The word Yoga means union - in this case the union of the mind and body through mindful movement, breath and concentrated efforts (meditation).

Some of the endless benefits to yoga are :

  • improve flexibility

  • improve physical and mental balance

  • help with concentration

  • creates stronger bodies and minds

  • prefections posture

  • improves general health

  • helps in letting go of things that bring us down

... and so much more!

About me

Hi ! I'm Samantha.

Having hit the mat around 2009 I began an incredible relationship with yoga which I never realised would take me to where I am today. I have the luck to have had a number of experienced and skilled teachers who have hugely helped me on my journey towards becoming the teacher I am today - notably Michelle Timmins, Lara Heimann, Diane King and Michelle Odent.
I now have this incredible opportunity to share what I love with anyone wishing to improve their movement practices.

I feel honoured to be able to call myself a teacher and help guide people towards finding their practice through a more connected relationship with their bodies.

Types of Yoga

Learn to listen to your body

Each class will include asanas (postures), pranayama (breath work), relaxation and meditation.

The yoga I teach is largely based on the LYT Yoga® Method. This is a sophisticated, core based vinyasa movement practice created by physical therapist Lara Heimann, who implemented her background in neurodevelopmental rehabilitation to rewire the brain and reestablish more optimal movement patterns into a yoga practice. It is an intense movement experience that systematically overrides the patterns of compensation and poor habits through an exploration of brain mapping and purposeful movement. I am so excited to be able to teach a style of yoga where I am 100% confident that the movement patterns are not only fun and flowing but also functional, safe and can only work towards you feeling better in your body!

Private Sessions

An individual session can be hugely beneficial to fine tuning your practice or if you have specific injuries you need to contend with or purely you prefer having 1:1 attention.

Whether you are a beginner and would like to become more comfortable with the movement patterns we follow in this yoga practice before joining a class or are an experienced yogi interested in perfecting a certain asana or working towards a personal goal private classes are a fantastic opportunity.

I offer them online or in the studio. Please contact me directly to reserve a time that will suit you.

Deepening your practice.

Group Classes

I offer a varied number of group classes from a gentler class suitable for beginners or those wanting a slower pace to a more dynamic and fast paced session. All classes will include work on posture, alignment and the core and are great for re-balancing the body whether you spend a lot of your day from doing anything from sitting at a computer to intensive sports.

There is something for anyone interested in improving their movement patterns to feel better in their daily lives.

I teach the LYT Yoga® method in my studio, online and outdoors when the weather allows us.

Please check out the timetable and be sure to book in advance to ensure your spot.

Finding FUN and freedom in movement.

Prenatal Yoga

As a qualified Doula and having specialised in prenatal and yoga for childbirth I feel it's so important to create a safe and peaceful space to find the time to connect to your baby so you can feel healthy in your body all the way up to your due date.

The classes are accessible for everyone whether you've never done yoga before or you have been practicing for years. Following the LYT Yoga® method we will move in fun, safe and functional ways that will help relieve discomforts sometimes experienced in pregnancy even off the mat.

It is sometimes advised to start classes after your 1st trimester (implantation time, usually when you'll feel super tired and your body is asking you to slow down). However I am more than happy for people to join my classes at any point during their pregnancy unless otherwise advised by your healthcare worker.
Please feel welcomed to join in at any point of your pregnancy :)

A moment for you and baby.
